A lady knocked at our door last Saturday afternoon. She was giving out a new brand of diapers from Singapore which needs to be tested before it goes into the Philippines market. She was looking for one more test subject: a baby boy of less than a year old. Gab was perfect. Quennie thinks otherwise.
The offer was simple. She will give us 20 diapers to try for free. Every time the diapers get soiled, we will call them up. They will then retrieve the diapers at home and they will send it to their lab for analysis.
Pretty simple, right? We get free diapers to try.
Quennie further asks, “Paano kung magka-rashes si baby?”
“Ay, ok lang po sa amin yun ma’am. Wala naman po problema yun.”
“Sa inyo ok, sa akin hindi,” was Quennie’s frank reply.
Quennie is very particular about Gab’s skin. She even asked me to buy reusable cloth diapers from Amazon.com that Gab will be using. Cloth diapers has been friendly to Gab.
Quennie was suprised that there was no plan in case Gab gets rashes. No treatment. No solution. No compensation. To them, it will be just another data.
So the lady went off and Quennie saves the day.
